TFS Chrome Plate Steel Overview and Characteristics

TFS (Tin-Free Steel) is a steel material that is coated with a metal chromium layer and a chromium oxide film on the surface of a cold-rolled thin steel plate by electrolytic deposition. Unlike traditional tin-plated steel plates (tinplate), its chromium layer cannot be remelted to form a bright surface, so a special chrome coating production line is required. Its technical standards include JIS G3315, ASTM 657, GB/T 24189-2009, etc. Steel types include MR, SPCC, TYPEL, thickness range 0.14-0.50mm, width 600-1050mm, coating weight is 50-150mg/m² of metal chromium, 5-35mg/m² of chromium oxide, and the surface can be passivated to present a bright, stone-grained or silver appearance, and coated with DOS oil for rust prevention
