Material properties and composition requirements

1. Core composition design

Basic elements: 1-4% Si, 0.1-3% Mn, 0.1-3% Al, the three must satisfy the formula:

5015.3 + 10.7Si + 6.8Mn + 9.4Al ≤ 75 (mass percentage) to ensure the stability of magnetic properties under compressive stress.

Optional additives: 0.02-1% Cu, 0.02-1% Ni, 0.02-0.2% P, 0.005-0.2% Sn can be added to optimize resistivity and permeability.

2. Key performance indicators

Resistivity: must be controlled in the range of 50×10⁻⁸ – 75×10⁻⁸ Ω·m to reduce eddy current losses.

Grain size: average grain size 60–165 μm, affecting the efficiency of magnetic domain movement.

Iron loss control: When 20 MPa stress is applied/not applied, the iron loss difference W₁₅/₂₀₀ ≤ 16 W/kg.


Main points of processing technology

1. Heat treatment process

Annealing process: After hot rolling, it needs to be kept at 800–900℃ for 5–15 hours, and then slowly cooled from 700℃ to 500℃ at a rate of 50℃/hr.

Final annealing: After cold rolling, recrystallization annealing is completed at 900–1150℃ to optimize grain orientation.

2. Precision machining requirements

Code M12/M15/M19/M22 indicates that the steel needs to be precision-processed by CNC (such as turning and milling), which is suitable for scenes requiring high dimensional accuracy such as aviation plugs and motor connectors (refer to similar parts processing standards).


Application scenarios and advantages

1. Core components of rotating machinery

Designed specifically for rotating motors that withstand parallel plate surface compressive stress, ensuring minimal degradation of magnetic properties under stress environments.

2. High-efficiency small motors and electronic devices

By adding Ni, Cu, Sn/Sb, the magnetic flux density and magnetic permeability are increased, helping to make the equipment more efficient and smaller.
