Performance characteristics

1. Corrosion resistance

(1) Atmosphere and general media: It has good corrosion resistance and can slowly corrode in the atmosphere. It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in media such as seawater and hydrochloric acid.

(2) Special media: It has excellent corrosion resistance in high-temperature anhydrous hydrofluoric acid; however, it needs to be used with caution in high-speed flowing HIC acid. It is not applicable to phosphoric acid and nitric acid and can only be used in unventilated sulfuric acid. In addition, pure nickel 201 also has good corrosion resistance under conditions of high temperature and high concentration of alkalinity and chloride ions.

2. Other properties

(1) It has high thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, low gas content and low vapor pressure.

(2) It has good magnetic properties and magnetostrictive properties, and a high Curie temperature.

(3) It has low hardness in the annealed state, good ductility and flexibility, and a relatively low work hardening rate, but it can reach a medium strength level and maintain its ductility through cold working.

3. Application areas

(1) Chemical industry: It is suitable for production and storage equipment of corrosive products with high requirements for product purity. For example, in some chemical production processes that need to avoid impurity contamination, Nickel Alloy 201 steel plates can be used to manufacture equipment such as reactors and storage tanks.

(2) Food industry: It can be used for food processing equipment, such as mixing vessels and conveying pipelines in food processing. Its good corrosion resistance can ensure the safety and purity of food.

(3) Other fields: It is also used in vinyl chloride monomer production equipment and other fields.
