1. Tensile properties
At room temperature, the tensile strength of Inconel 601 can reach more than 500MPa, the yield strength can reach more than 270MPa, and the elongation can reach more than 30%.
At high temperatures, the tensile strength and yield strength of Inconel 601 remain at a high level, which can meet the use requirements in various high-temperature environments.
2. Fatigue properties
At room temperature, the fatigue limit of Inconel 601 can reach more than 200MPa, and it has good resistance to fatigue crack growth. In high-temperature environments,
the fatigue properties of Inconel 601 remain at a high level.
3. Creep properties
In high-temperature environments, Inconel 601 can withstand long-term creep stress without failure, its creep strength can reach more than 300MPa,
and it has good creep rupture life and creep rate stability.
4. Hardness
The hardness of Inconel 601 is relatively low, and the hardness value is usually between HB30 and HB45.
The hardness can be adjusted through conventional heat treatment processes, and it has good cutting and welding performance.
Characteristics
1. Oxidation resistance: At high temperatures, Inconel 601 has excellent oxidation resistance. It can resist oxidation at temperatures as high as 1180°C, and even under harsh conditions such as heating and cooling cycles, it can form a dense oxide film with high spalling resistance.
2. Carburization resistance: Inconel 601 has good carburization resistance.
3. Oxidation resistance in sulfur-containing atmospheres: Due to the high chromium and aluminum content, Inconel 601 can resist oxidation in sulfur-containing atmospheres.
4. Stress corrosion cracking resistance: Inconel 601 has good stress corrosion cracking resistance, and due to the control of carbon content and grain size, Inconel 601 has high creep rupture strength,so it is recommended for use in fields above 500°C.
5. Metallographic structure
Inconel601 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure.
6. Processing heat treatment
Inconel601 nickel-based alloy is not a precipitation hardening alloy, so it cannot be aged by heat treatment.
Application areas
1. Heat treatment industry: Inconel601 nickel-based alloy is used for trays, baskets and fixtures used in heat treatment plants, wire strand annealing and radiation tubes, wire mesh belts in industrial furnaces, etc.
2. Chemical industry: isolation tanks in ammonia reforming and catalytic support grids in nitric acid manufacturing.
3. Environmental protection field: combustion chambers of solid waste incinerators, pipeline supports and ash handling components, exhaust gas detoxification system components, etc.
