Performance characteristics

1. Corrosion resistance

(1) Multi-atmosphere adaptability: C-276 Hastelloy alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. For example, C-276 Hastelloy alloy is one of the only materials that is resistant to moisture, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solution corrosion. C-276 Hastelloy alloy also has significant corrosion resistance to high concentration chloride salt solutions such as ferric chloride and cupric chloride.

(2) Resistance to specific acid corrosion: C-276 Hastelloy alloy is suitable for sulfuric acid solutions of various concentrations and is one of the few materials that can be used in hot concentrated sulfuric acid solutions.

2. Other properties

(1) Good mechanical properties: C-276 Hastelloy alloy has a tensile strength of σb ≥ 730Mpa and an elongation of δ ≥ 40%.

(2) Good welding performance: C-276 Hastelloy alloy is easy to weld and can be used to manufacture various complex components.

(3) Clean and smooth: C-276 Hastelloy alloy can meet some application scenarios with high requirements for surface quality.

Applications

1. Chemical Processing

C-276 Hastelloy is used for important parts such as reactors, heat exchangers and pipelines that are exposed to highly corrosive substances.

It can adapt to various processes involving sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, acetic acid, formic acid and phosphoric acid.

2. Oil and Gas

C-276 Hastelloy is corrosion-resistant in sour gas wells and acid treatment, 

which helps maintain equipment integrity and safety and ensures the smooth progress of oil and gas extraction and processing.

3. Environmental Protection

C-276 Hastelloy is often used in flue gas desulfurization systems in power plants and waste treatment facilities, 

which helps reduce pollutant emissions and supports sustainable practices, such as performing well in complex environments where flue gas desulfurization is out of stock.

4. Pharmaceuticals

In pharmaceutical manufacturing, C-276 Hastelloy is important for its corrosion resistance and ability to keep equipment and piping systems pure.
