Docol 1300M is an ultra-high strength martensitic steel developed by Swedish steel company SSAB. Its yield strength reaches 1350-1700MPa and its tensile strength reaches 1700-2000MPa, which exceeds the limit of 1500MPa of traditional boron steel. It also has better ductility and is easier to process. This material is produced using cold forming technology, without the need for complicated hot forming processing with large tolerances, and achieves lightweight while ensuring high strength.

Typical applications of Docol 1300M in the automotive industry
1. Body safety structural parts: As the "National A-pillar 2.0", it is used in Ford Kuga models, running through the A-pillar and the roof. It has the characteristics of easy forming, small cross-sectional area, slight visual obstruction, and strong support. Compared with traditional materials, it can save 2.8 to 4.5 kg of weight. It is lighter, safer, more difficult to process, and more corrosion-resistant than boron steel.
2. Supply and processing system: The raw materials are provided by SSAB, which has two production plants in the United States, and the Shape Group responsible for 3D roll forming is located in Michigan, the United States, and is located in the same place as the Ford Group headquarters, forming an industrial synergy advantage of nearby supply and processing.
